Bradley Beal’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, has dismissed recent reports suggesting the Phoenix Suns guard would lift his no-trade clause to join the Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, or Los Angeles Lakers. Speaking with The Arizona Republic, Bartelstein labeled the rumors as “created out of thin air.”
“Brad’s entire focus has been and is on getting healthy with his ankle and helping turn things around for the Suns,” Bartelstein clarified. Despite the strong denial, he noted that Beal remains open to evaluating potential opportunities if something compelling arises in the future.
Bartelstein emphasized that no trade discussions have occurred, stating, “At this point, there has not been one conversation about a trade because, again, his focus has been on getting healthy and making it work in Phoenix.”
Beal, 31, has faced challenges this season, including injuries and a recent move to a bench role, which has fueled speculation about his standing with the team.
The three-time All-Star is averaging 17.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 32.7 minutes per game this season. His scoring ability remains a valuable asset, though questions about his role and fit with the Suns persist.
Phoenix has been actively exploring trade opportunities, particularly in pursuit of Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler. Acquiring Butler could involve parting with Beal, adding further intrigue to the situation. However, Bartelstein’s comments suggest that any such move is far from imminent.
The Suns, currently 10th in the Western Conference, are fighting to solidify their position in a competitive playoff race.
