The Los Angeles Lakers, led by Anthony Davis and LeBron James, dominated the Washington Wizards with a decisive 111-88 victory on Tuesday night at Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers improved to 23-18, while the Wizards suffered their 11th consecutive loss, dropping to 6-36 on the season.
Davis contributed a game-high 29 points and 16 rebounds, while James recorded his 121st career triple-double with 21 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds.
Austin Reaves and Dorian Finney-Smith added 16 points each for Los Angeles. Finney-Smith connected on four three-pointers, providing crucial spacing for the Lakers’ offense. The Lakers never trailed after the opening minutes, holding the NBA’s worst team at bay with consistent play on both ends of the floor.
For Washington, Bilal Coulibaly led with 17 points and six rebounds, marking his highest-scoring game in January. Jordan Poole and Corey Kispert each added 15 points, while Kyle Kuzma posted 12 points and nine rebounds in his return to Los Angeles. Despite their efforts, the Wizards shot just 35.8% from the field and a meager 25.6% from beyond the arc.
Davis continued to anchor the Lakers’ defense with four blocks while dominating the paint. Los Angeles also benefited from solid contributions off the bench, including eight points from Jaxson Hayes and a strong defensive presence from Max Christie, who added five rebounds and three blocks.
Bronny James made a brief appearance in the final two minutes, but the Lakers’ reserves ensured the game was out of reach. Los Angeles entered halftime with a comfortable lead and never let the Wizards threaten in the second half.
