Here’s Detroit Pistons head coach JB Bickerstaff on Cade Cunningham’s resilient second half vs. the New York Knicks following Monday’s 124-119 road win.

*1st half stats: 7 points/1 rebound/3 assists/four fouls/3-10 FG/1-3 3-PT/-6 +/-*

*2nd half stats: 29 points/1 rebound/1 assist/1 steal/zero fouls/11-17 FG/3-5 3-PT/4-4 FT/+10 +/-*

(via Detroit Pistons):

“Think about how many guys are good enough to do that. There’s a handful of guys out there that have the ability to say that, ‘I’m going to do it.’ And then actually go out and get it done. I think we’ve seen Cade make a step into the heir of the elites in this game. I’m hard-pressed to find someone who’s doing it better than he’s doing it right now: Impacting winning in a major way, making his teammates better. What I’m so impressed with is how he picks his spots and his times. We ended that second quarter kinda shaky, and he put us on his back to help us get settled and then allowed everybody else around him to do their thing.”
