According to Serbian newspaper "Večernje novosti" (Evening News) Novica Velickovic tops Messina's shortlist regarding the the additions the Italian coach wishes to make to Real Madrid next season.
Velickovic (23, 202cm, SF/PF) had his best season in his career so far and was awarded as the Euroleague's Rising Star averaging 11.5 pts, 5 rpg and 2 apg in Euroleague leading Partizan to the quarter finals of the competition.
Velickovic denied to comment on the rumours that he will be officially announced by Real Madrid in Monday but it is more than probable that he will end up in Madrid, with Real paying Partizan a buy-out of 500k euros.
Other prominent names in Messina's shortlist are Ioannis Bourousis, Rimantas Kaukenas, Romain Sato and Rasho Nesterovic.
