Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey spoke about starting to figure things out as a team following Wednesday’s 118-114 Christmas Day road win vs. the Boston Celtics.
(via Philadelphia 76ers):
“I think every win is helping us. We were 3-14, so what’s that 7-3 over the last ten? I think every win has been building up to this. No matter who we played, the winning right now is the main focus. I think we’ve gotten better every single night, guys have gotten used to each other. You can that tell the camaraderie is getting there. It’s difficult, man. We’ve had a lot of players, a lot of different combinations. I said this during training camp… I think I said it on media day, ‘We don’t know how we want to play. We don’t know any of that yet. Once we figure it out, we’ll be a problem.’
“And I think we’re slowly but surely figuring it out and we’re going out there and we’re competing a lot harder as well and it means something to everybody. Of course we didn’t like losing, but you’ve got a lot of competitive guys out there who’s like, ‘All right, we gotta figure it out.’ And I think we’re slowly but surely figuring it out.”
