Despite the loss, Orlando advanced as the Wild Card team, thanks to their superior point differential. The Hawks had already secured their place by winning Group C earlier in the tournament.
This marks a return to the Knockout Rounds for both the Bucks and Knicks, who also advanced to this stage of the NBA Cup last season, highlighting their consistency in this competition.
