Mirsad Turkcan renews with Fenerbahce

Mirsad TurkcanAs it was announced through the official website of Fenerbahce Ulker, the Turkish National Team star Mirsad Turkcan extended his contract with the club for the next two seasons.

The 33-year old veteran who joined the club in 2005 has seen a lot of success with the club (Ulker in 2005 before the merge with Fenerbahce in 2006) will offer his services to the club for another 2 years. He has led Fenerbahce Ulker to three champinships in the past seasons, all over Efes Pilsen in the finals.

The Serbian born player has also played for Fenerbahce Ulker's arch rivals Efes Pilsen for 5 seasons while other career stops include major European clubs like CSKA Moscow, Montepaschi Siena and Dynamo Moscow.

Turkcan has averaged 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in Euroleague and 11.5 points and 6 rebounds in the Turkish League while it is worth noting that he is Euroleague's top rebounder of all times and the only one to have grabbed more than 1000 rebounds with 1146 total rebounds.
