Toronto Raptors arrive in UK ahead of London date with the Magic

The Toronto Raptors have arrived in London ahead of Thursday’s regular season clash against Orlando Magic at the O2 Arena.

The Raptors, currently 24-15 and third in the Eastern Conference will be playing their third game in England and will be seeking their first win in London after losing two games against the New Jersey Nets in 2011.

“I’m excited to be here in London,” said Raptors guard Kyle Lowry. “Trips like these are a wonderful opportunity to spread the NBA brand and we are looking forward to the next few days. The Magic are great opponents and we are hoping that the fans enjoy an exciting game.”

“It is going to be fun,” Raptors forward Luis Scola added. “I watch the others teams play abroad and I think it’s a great idea.

“I think it’s fun and I’m looking forward to it. We get the chance to tour a different country, meet new fans, visit a great country. It is a trip where the guys will do stuff together, for example sightseeing, so it could help us as a team.”
