Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley knows that players will have to take on larger roles following the recent news of Paolo Banchero’s torn right oblique.

“It’s extremely tough. What we talked about this morning as a group: it sucks. There’s no other way to put it. And it sucks for him, the way in which he started this year, the way in which he was playing, the way he’s carrying us in so many ways. And then in the same breath, you have to say it’s an opportunity. It’s an opportunity for guys to step up, step into their role. Opportunity for guys to continue to play to our standard of basketball. What does that look like? We’re going to continue to defend the right way, share the basketball, move the basketball, attack the way we need to attack. Again, it’s an opportunity for guys to step into bigger roles.”
