Bulls edge Magic as Josh Giddey secures double-double

Josh Giddey recorded a double-double, and Coby White scored 21 points as the Chicago Bulls (3-2) defeated the Orlando Magic (3-2) 102-99 on Wednesday night in a tight finish.

Nikola Vucevic added 18 points and 14 rebounds to fuel Chicago’s second consecutive win, helping the Bulls rally from an early 20-point deficit.

Orlando’s Paolo Banchero scored 31 points, following his 50-point game against Indiana, but his effort wasn’t enough to clinch the win.

The Bulls’ comeback began late in the second quarter with a 12-3 run, cutting Orlando’s lead to 10 by halftime.

Chicago held firm in the final quarter despite shooting just 3-for-15, limiting Orlando to only 4-for-22 from the field.

Banchero’s 20 first-half points propelled the Magic to a 62-52 lead at intermission, but the team struggled offensively after forward Franz Wagner exited early in the fourth due to illness.

Chicago led 98-97 in the final minute when Giddey found Patrick Williams open for a three-pointer, extending the lead to a two-possession game.

The fourth quarter featured a significant scoring drought, with both teams going over seven minutes without a field goal until Ayo Dosunmu’s basket ended the dry spell.
