Miriam Adelson, widow of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson and major GOP donor, gave $95 million to the pro-Trump super PAC Preserve America last quarter, according to a Federal Election Commission report on Tuesday. This brings her total donations to $100 million this year, making her one of the largest donors in this election cycle.
Adelson is part of a group of billionaires funding pro-Trump efforts, including Tim Mellon, who has given $125 million to another PAC, and Elon Musk, who is linked to a third PAC. Preserve America has spent $92 million on ads in battleground states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.
Adelson’s contributions this year already exceed the $90 million she and her late husband gave in 2020. She also donated $5 million to the GOP’s Senate Leadership Fund, bringing her total to $15 million this year.
