Cameron and Cayden Boozer, twin sons of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, have committed to play college basketball at Duke University. The announcement, which was shared by NBA on ESPN, marks a significant moment for the Blue Devils as they secure two of the top-ranked players in the class of 2025.
Cameron Boozer, ranked No. 2 in ESPN’s Top 100 for 2025, has been dominant in high school basketball. During his sophomore year at Christopher Columbus High School in Florida, he averaged 21.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and two blocks per game, leading his team to a state championship.
His success continued on the international stage when he represented Team USA at the 2023 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship. Cameron averaged 16.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game, helping Team USA win gold. His standout performances earned him the Under-16 Most Valuable Player award.
Cayden Boozer, ranked No. 17 on ESPN’s Top 100, has also made a significant impact at Columbus High School. In the 2023-2024 season, he averaged 14.6 points, 5.6 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game, contributing to his team’s third consecutive 7A state title.
Both brothers will now follow in the footsteps of their father, Carlos Boozer, who was a standout player at Duke before his successful NBA career.
Cameron’s combination of size, skill, and basketball IQ has made him one of the most coveted prospects in the nation. He is widely regarded as a future NBA player, with his all-around game drawing comparisons to some of the league’s best power forwards. Meanwhile, Cayden’s versatility as a guard and his ability to make plays for his teammates have made him a key contributor to his high school team’s success.
This commitment reinforces Duke’s reputation as a premier destination for top basketball talent. The program has a long history of producing NBA players, and the Boozer twins look to continue that tradition. Their decision to join the Blue Devils not only adds depth to Duke’s future roster but also generates excitement among fans who are eager to see the next generation of Boozers shine at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
