During the interview with the Serbian media representatives in the Etihad Arena, Denver Nuggets player, DeAndre Jordan was talking about special bond he shares with Nikola Jokić.
“Obviously we (Nikola and DeAndre) are brothers, we look a lot alike. He’s been an amazing guy. He has embraced our culture, we’ve embraced his. And I think when you hang out with guys from different cultures and backgrounds, you know how sports bring you together, so you’ve learned a lot of different Serbian traditions, Serbian words that I won’t say on camera. It’s just been great being his team-mate”, said DeAndre who could say one phrase in Serbian in front of the cameras.
“I really say ‘Ajdemo brate’ (Let’s go bro) to him a lot and the other things I don’t say. He teaches me a lot of good words but also a lot of bad words”, said Jordan who can’t recall what happened the first time he was drinking famous Serbian drink ‘rakija’ with Nikola Jokić.
“The first time I don’t remember trying it, because I had a little too much, but it’s been good after that. And he always plays some Serbian folk music very loud on the plain and sings and dances”, said DeAndre.
