The Brooklyn Nets have signed free agent forward Yongxi “Jacky” Cui to a Two-Way contract, further strengthening their roster with a versatile talent.

Cui (6’6″, 210 lbs) joins the Nets after undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft. Despite not being selected, the 21-year-old showcased his potential while competing with the Portland Trail Blazers squad during the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas.

Although his role was limited to three games as a reserve, Cui demonstrated flashes of his skill set, earning a chance to continue his development in the NBA with Brooklyn.

Before entering the NBA, Cui spent two productive seasons (2022-24) with the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), where he established himself as a reliable two-way player.

In 99 career games, 76 of which he started, Cui posted impressive all-around stats, averaging 14.1 points per game on 45.3 percent shooting from the field, 36.2 percent from beyond the arc, and 80.9 percent from the free-throw line.

His ability to contribute across the board was also evident in his averages of 5.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.7 steals in 32.9 minutes per game. Known for his versatility, Cui has shown proficiency both as a scorer and a defender.

His three-point shooting and defensive prowess make him a valuable addition to the Nets’ rotation, and his Two-Way contract will allow him to split time between Brooklyn and their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, where he can further hone his skills and adapt to the NBA style of play.

With the signing of Cui, the Nets are adding depth and potential to their forward position, banking on his international experience and promising development trajectory.
