The Phoenix Suns have signed forward Mamadi Diakite to an Exhibit 10 deal, as reported by NBA insider Michael Scotto.
Diakite, who previously received $1.4 million from the New York Knicks in the Mikal Bridges trade, will join the Suns for training camp.
During the 2023-24 season, Diakite had a fluctuating journey across multiple teams.
He initially signed with the New York Knicks in October, 2023, but was waived two days later.
Following his release, Diakite joined the Westchester Knicks as part of their opening-night roster in November.
On January 1, 2024, he signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs but was waived on March 2.
Diakite returned to the Westchester Knicks on March 6, 2024, and briefly signed a 10-day contract with the Knicks on March 14. He was then signed by the Knicks for the rest of the season on March 25.
On July 6, 2024, Diakite was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in a major deal involving several players and draft picks.
Before appearing in a game for the Nets, he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies but was waived on August 27.
Last season, Diakite played six NBA games between the Spurs and Knicks, averaging 2 points per game.
