He’s the player with the most three-pointers in NBA history, and he should continue his standards going into the next season. While the Warriors haven’t hit the heights of the 2010s, they can still beat anyone on their day. A big part of that is Steph Curry and his performances.
He’s entering the season injury-free, and his ball handling is among the league’s best. It remains to be seen if Curry can add another MVP title to his collection, but he’s still likely to add plenty more points to his total.
Luka Doncic
Doncic has exploded as one of the best players in the NBA over the last five years. One of the collection of foreign players, like Giannis, who are performing to a high standard. Doncic regularly hits plenty of points and is known for claiming triple-doubles.
At just 25, Doncic has his peak ahead of him. The only way Doncic will have a surprising season is if he doesn’t score many points.
Victor Wembanyama
Last season, Wembanyama moved to the NBA from the LNB Pro A, the top league in French basketball. There’s lots of hype around this young man, with many surprised that he acclimatized so well. He finished the season as rookie of the year, meaning the expectation levels around him are significant.
Wembanyama will likely improve his first-year performance, particularly as he will have a year of experience. If he can show similar levels of improvement as last year, he could be a contender for MVP.
