The Miami Heat have exercised their team options on Jaime Jaquez and Nikola Jovic, extending both players’ contracts through the 2025-26 season, according to Ira Winderman.
This move solidifies the team’s roster with 11 players now under contract for at least the next two years.
Jaquez, 23, will earn $3.86 million for the 2025-26 season. In his rookie year, Jaquez averaged 11.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game in 28.2 minutes of play.
Jovic, 21, enters his third season with the Heat. Last year, he averaged 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2 assists per game in 19.5 minutes. Jovic is set to make $2.46 million this season, with the final year of his contract also being a player option.
The decision to pick up these options highlights the Heat’s commitment to developing their young talents. Both Jaquez and Jovic have shown promise and are expected to play key roles in the team’s future.
