Former Utah Jazz star Gordon Hayward said that they were ecstatic after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers in seven games during the 2017 Western Conference First Round.

(via Utah Jazz- Roundball Roundup):

JP Chunga: “Winning Game 7 in LA, what was the feeling for the team after that?”

Hayward: “Man, nothing like it. Nothing like winning a Game 7 on the road, just the silence of the crowd. Stunned, I think stunned, for sure, that we were able to do it, because relatively no-name players on the Jazz. Younger players, obviously younger head coach, versus household names. It’s LA, too, so it’s a huge market. But kinda like the end of Lob City, and it’s cool for us to kinda be the team that kinda derailed them. It was a short-lived celebration, because then you have to go against one of the best teams of all time in the Warriors. I don’t even think we went home, I think we went straight to San Francisco, but certainly just the feeling in the locker room. That was my first playoff series win, and just excited. Reggie Miller used to say that he liked silencing the crowd, too. That was one of my favorite things, being on the road and silencing the crowd, it’s a great feeling.”
