The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Jarrett Allen to a $91 million extension, securing the center’s future with the team for the next three years.
This extension guarantees Allen $131 million over the next five years, as reported by NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
Allen, 26, becomes the third key Cavaliers player to sign a massive extension this summer, following Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley.
The move solidifies Cleveland’s position as long-term contenders in the Eastern Conference.
Previously, Allen was on a five-year, $100 million contract.
This past season, Allen averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 31.7 minutes per game.
His performance on the court has been a crucial factor in the Cavaliers’ recent success.
