As the Brooklyn Nets continue their rebuild, the future of Cameron Johnson remains uncertain.

According to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, the Lakers are among several teams showing interest in the 28-year-old small forward.

Johnson faced a challenging season with various injuries but still managed to average 13.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in 58 games.

He shot 39.1 percent from three-point range, close to his career mark of 39.2 percent.

Johnson’s 6-foot-8 frame, combined with his shooting skills, makes him a valuable asset.

In the previous season, only 10 NBA players 6-7 or taller averaged more than his 2.4 made three-pointers per game.

Alongside the Lakers, the Sacramento Kings and Orlando Magic are also interested in acquiring Johnson.

There are also reports suggesting that teams like the Spurs, Raptors, and Warriors could be considered “dark horses” in the race for Johnson.

Johnson is currently in the second year of a four-year, $94.5 million contract.

His potential departure from the Nets could be a significant move in the upcoming NBA season.

Teams are closely monitoring Johnson’s availability as they aim to strengthen their rosters.
