The New York Knicks have extended Tom Thibodeau’s contract through the 2027-2028 season.
NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed the three-year extension via X.
Thibodeau, a two-time NBA Coach of the Year, has guided the Knicks to consecutive conference semifinal appearances.
Leon Rose, the Knicks’ president, continues to bolster the team’s roster with recent moves.
This summer, the Knicks added Mikal Bridges, retained free agent OG Anunoby, and secured Jalen Brunson’s extension.
Under Thibodeau’s leadership, the Knicks were one of only four teams to rank in the top 10 for both offensive and defensive efficiency last season.
The other teams that achieved this were Boston, Oklahoma City, and Denver.
This past season the Knicks finished second in the Eastern Conference with a 50-32 record but were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in the second round of playoffs.
