Spencer Dinwiddie has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Dallas Mavericks, leaving the Los Angeles Lakers.
Tim MacMahon reported that Dinwiddie, who previously played for Dallas, will rejoin the team as a proven guard depth behind Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving.
Dinwiddie was a key sixth man for the Mavericks during their conference finals run.
The 31-year-old point guard spent the latter stage of the past season with the Lakers, where he averaged 6.8 points and 2.4 assists in 24.2 minutes per game.
His return to Dallas bolsters the Mavericks’ backcourt, providing valuable experience and playmaking ability.
Dinwiddie’s move also signifies a strategic addition for Dallas as they aim to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season.
