The Los Angeles Clippers have finalized a trade deal, sending guard Russell Westbrook along with a second-round pick swap and cash considerations to the Utah Jazz.

NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news on X, revealing the specifics of the sign-and-trade agreement.

Westbrook’s move to Utah involves acquiring guard Kris Dunn from the Jazz in exchange.

As part of the trade, Westbrook is expected to negotiate a contract buyout with the Jazz.

This maneuver will allow Westbrook to clear waivers, paving the way for him to potentially join the Denver Nuggets.

Reportedly, Nuggets star Nikola Jokic has advocated strongly for Westbrook’s addition to their roster.

Last season, Westbrook, a former MVP, averaged 11.1 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game in just over 22 minutes on the court.

For his part, Dunn averaged 5.4 points, 3.8 assists, 2.9 rebounds and one steal in 19 minutes a game last season.
