Zalgiris replaces Kevarrius Hayes with Bryant Dunston

Zalgiris Kaunas has replaced Kevarrius Hayes with Bryant Dunston for the upcoming season.

The Lithuanian club signed the 38-year-old American center to a one-year contract.

Hayes, who spent the past two seasons with Zalgiris, parted ways with the team by mutual agreement.

Dunston brings 11 consecutive seasons of EuroLeague experience to Zalgiris.

He debuted in the EuroLeague in the 2013-2014 season with Olympiacos.

After two seasons in Greece, he spent eight seasons with Anadolu Efes, winning EuroLeague titles in 2021 and 2022.

Last season, Dunston played for Virtus Bologna in Italy.

He averaged 4.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks per game in the EuroLeague last season.

Dunston has numerous individual accolades, including being named EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year twice.

He led the EuroLeague in blocks in 2014 and 2018.

In 2017, Dunston was named to the EuroLeague’s All-Second Team.

Dunston ranks second in EuroLeague history for blocked shots, behind only Walter Tavares.
