The Detroit Pistons have secured promising center Bobi Klintman with a significant contract extension, as reported by NBA insider Shams Charania.
Klintman, selected 37th overall in the 2024 NBA draft, is set to sign a four-year, $7.99 million rookie deal, with the first two seasons fully guaranteed.
Klintman’s journey to the NBA includes a standout freshman season at Wake Forest, where he averaged 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Following his collegiate career, Klintman ventured to Australia, joining the Cairns Taipans in the NBL’s prestigious Next Stars program. During his tenure, he averaged 9.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
Selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2024 NBA draft, Klintman’s rights were subsequently traded to the Pistons alongside Wendell Moore Jr. in exchange for the 53rd overall pick.
