The NBA has secured $76 billion contracts with ABC/ESPN, NBC, and Amazon over 11 seasons, according to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic. The league’s governors are expected to approve the agreements formally. ESPN and TNT Sports pay a combined $2.6 billion for a nine-season deal.
Once finalized, TNT Sports may attempt to match, likely targeting Amazon’s package. The new deals will provide nationally televised NBA games nearly every day. NBC will air games on Tuesdays, with exclusive Monday games on Peacock.
Amazon Prime Video will mainly stream games on Friday nights Saturdays, and Thursdays after the NFL season. During the NFL season, Amazon will air games on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, including a special Saturday night ABC window. ESPN will add Friday games after the NFL season.
