Jimmy Butler intends to remain with the Miami Heat for the upcoming season, regardless of his contract situation.
Reports indicate that Butler, despite the Heat’s current stance on his contract extension, is content with continuing in Miami.
The 34-year-old forward holds a player option worth $52 million for the 2025-26 season, providing him control over his future.
NBA insider Brian Windhorst affirmed Butler’s commitment to the Heat during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
“From what I understand, Jimmy Butler plans to be back with the Miami Heat next year even if there’s no extension,” Windhorst stated.
During the previous season, Butler played a pivotal role, averaging 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5 assists per game in 34 minutes on the court.
