Tim Hardaway Jr. appears set to part ways with the Dallas Mavericks, with the Detroit Pistons emerging as a potential destination for the veteran small forward in an offseason trade.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Detroit has shown interest in acquiring Hardaway Jr. from Dallas.

Entering the final year of his lucrative four-year, $75 million contract, Hardaway Jr. is due to earn $16 million next season.

In the 2023-24 season, Hardaway Jr. contributed 14.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game for the Mavericks.

Hardaway Jr.’s scoring ability and experience could bolster the Pistons’ roster as they aim to strengthen ahead of the upcoming season.
