Three players leave Baskonia

Baskonia has confirmed the departure of three key players from their roster: Maik Kotsar, Chris Chiozza, and Jordan Theodore. These moves mark significant changes for the EuroLeague team ahead of the upcoming season.

Kotsar, the 27-year-old Estonian center, concludes his two-season stint with Baskonia. Known for his defensive presence, Kotsar averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in 18 minutes per game during the last EuroLeague campaign.

Chiozza, a 28-year-old American point guard, played 26 EuroLeague games for Baskonia this season, contributing 1.9 points and 2.5 assists per game in 10.3 minutes on average.

Theodore, aged 34, also departs Baskonia after his recent contributions as a veteran presence. The American point guard averaged 3.5 points and 1.1 assists in 9.8 minutes across 12 EuroLeague appearances this past season.

Baskonia’s decision to part ways with these players signals a strategic shift as they prepare for the upcoming EuroLeague campaign.
