New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has come to the defense of his former teammate, Luka Doncic, following the Dallas Mavericks’ Game 3 loss in the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Despite Doncic’s strong performance with 27 points, the Mavericks faced a devastating defeat, trailing 0-3 in the series after Game 3.
Doncic’s frustration with the officiating was evident both during and after the game, leading to criticism from analysts and fans alike.
In response to the backlash, Brunson stepped forward, expressing his support for Doncic and labeling the criticism as unfair.
Brunson emphasized the significance of the NBA Finals and acknowledged that emotions can sometimes overshadow rationality in high-stakes situations.
“I think it’s unfair… This is what everyone in this league has worked for. And sometimes emotions get the best of you,” he said in an interview with Taylor Rooks.
