Kristaps Porzingis, now with the Boston Celtics, is gearing up for his first game against his former team, the Dallas Mavericks, in Dallas.
In Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Porzingis will face the Mavericks in a crucial matchup as the Celtics hold a 2-0 series lead.
Despite the emotional significance, Porzingis maintains that his return to Dallas is simply another game.
“Interesting coincidence to be in the Finals now for the first time being back in Dallas. It’s going to be a regular game for me,” Porzingis stated.
The Latvian forward expressed his fondness for Dallas, calling it his home and expressing gratitude to the city and its fans.
“It just happens to be on the big stage. Dallas was my home. Loved the city, loved the fans there. Always welcome there,” Porzingis added.
Porzingis’ return adds an intriguing subplot to the Finals, with both teams vying for supremacy on the court.
As the series shifts to Dallas, the Mavericks will look to capitalize on home-court advantage and rally back from their series deficit.
