The Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has sparked immense excitement for women’s basketball. Still, her growing fame has also led to controversy in the sports world, as she often encounters unwarranted racist hostility.
Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter hip-checked Clark during their intense game on Saturday. Initially, Carter was given a common foul, but after the league reviewed the play, it was upgraded to a flagrant-1 violation.
Fox News contributor Joe Concha suggested that “the WNBA probably should increase the fines a little bit” to discourage these actions against the 22-year-old rookie WNBA player.
Fox News’ Anita Vogel noted that while many cite various reasons to criticize Clark, “they forgot to mention her talent. I mean, she’s there because of her athletic ability.”
