Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown has secured his future with the team after signing a lucrative contract extension.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Brown has agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal, keeping him with the Kings through the 2026-27 season.

Initially, the Kings offered Brown a three-year, $21 million extension, which could have reached up to $27 million with bonuses.

However, Brown declined the initial offer as he was seeking a contract closer to $10 million annually.

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Brown gets a $4 million raise to $8.5 million on the 2024-2025 season left on his deal and then $8.5 million annually in the two new seasons on the contract.

Brown’s extension comes after his successful tenure with the Kings, where he led the team to a promising turnaround.

The extension provides stability and continuity for the Kings, ensuring that they can continue to develop and evolve under Brown’s guidance.
