As the Indiana Pacers bid farewell to their season after a Game 4 loss against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals, forward Pascal Siakam took a moment to address the looming unrestricted free agency that awaits him.

Expressing gratitude for the journey and the support he’s received, Siakam emphasized the significance of the opportunity and the appreciation he holds for the basketball culture in Indiana.

“All I can say is that it’s been a blessing. I’m really appreciative of everything,” Siakam said, via Michael Scotto. “I think coming from where I come from, it means a lot.

“The support I’ve received here is something that I was kind of missing. Having all that, seeing how the city breathes basketball, and how much support they give to the team, just being here for the home games, it’s incredible. How would you not be a part of that? I’m just really blessed and happy how this has been.”

With his impending free agency, Siakam’s future remains uncertain, yet his impactful performances throughout the playoffs underscore his value in the league.

During the postseason, Siakam showcased his versatility, averaging 21.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
