Valencia’s Sam Van Rossom out for a month

Valencia Basket playmaker Sam Van Rossom may miss the remainder of the Eurocup Regular Season due to a sprained knee, the club announced Monday.

Van Rossom got injured in a Spanish League game against Retabet.es GBC in a fortuitous action. When he could not finish the game and further research confirmed the bad news: Van Rossom had sprained his left knee and is set to be sidelined for at least three weeks. Van Rossom has averaged 11.2 points and 2.6 assists in five games until now.

Valencia is undefeated at 6-0 in Group C and has already qualified to the Eurocup Last 32, becoming the first team to do so.
