Nikola Jokic, known more for his finesse than his athleticism, surprised many with his dunks in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
After the game, Jokic addressed his uncharacteristic plays, jokingly attributing them to his innate abilities.
“I had an open lane. I’m a freak of nature… and why not to show my athleticism,” Jokic remarked, eliciting laughter from the media.
Despite his unconventional style, Jokic’s performance was nothing short of MVP-caliber, tallying 40 points and 13 assists.
His stellar showing propelled the Denver Nuggets to a commanding 112-97 victory over the Timberwolves, edging them closer to the Western Conference finals.
