Here’s Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton applauding TJ McConnell’s contagious energy off the bench following this past weekend’s 121-89 Eastern Conference Semifinal Game 4 home win vs. the New York Knicks (15 points/4 rebounds/10 assists/2 steals/6-12 FG/2-2 3-PT/1-1 FT/+27 +/-).
*7 points/1 rebound/3 assists/2 steals/zero turnovers/3-4 FG/1-1 FT/+14 +/- in the first quarter*

Reporter: “Rick [Carlisle] mentioned how much confidence he has in TJ at all times, but just how much did he mean to you guys in that first quarter?”
Haliburton: “Just his energy. When he checks in, there’s not many people in the NBA better at doing what he does, and that’s bringing energy off the bench. So when he checks in, it allows me to play off the ball a little bit more. And at times, he might look at me like, ‘Oh, you got it.’ But I want him to run so I can kick it ahead, so he can get downhill. But yeah, his energy is just contagious and everybody kinda flows off of that.”
