Former NBA player and current analyst Kendrick Perkins expressed bewilderment at the defensive performance of Rudy Gobert, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY).
Perkins took to X to share his incredulity regarding Gobert’s defensive play during Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Denver Nuggets.
In his tweet, Perkins questioned how Gobert, known for his defensive prowess, could transition from being recognized as the DPOY to becoming a defensive liability.
“I just don’t understand how Gobert go from DPOY to a defensive liability. I mean damn!” Perkins tweeted.
The Minnesota Timberwolves lost Game 4 to the Nuggets, resulting in the series being tied at 2-2 as both teams head into a pivotal Game 5 matchup.
