In Game 2 against the New York Knicks, the Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle was ejected after a peculiar turn of events. With the Knicks leading 124-118 and 1:19 remaining in the fourth quarter, Isaiah Hartenstein was wrongly called for a double dribble.

Subsequent review revealed no infraction, leading the referees to label the initial call as “inadvertent.” Carlisle then passionately confronted referee Marc Davis, resulting in two technical fouls in the last 41 seconds of the game and his subsequent ejection.
