Donovan Mitchell stepped up when it mattered the most as he dropped 39 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to series-clinching Game 7 win against the Orlando Magic.
The Cavs have won a playoff series for the first since 1993 without LeBron James. Despite this being a historical achievement, Mitchell is not thinking about being satisfied.
“This is great, but we’re too talented to be satisfied with just this. I’m just being honest… We didn’t come here for this just for one series,” Mitchell told his teammates in the locker room.
Cleveland will face the first-seed Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals now.
