Veteran guard Russell Westbrook wasn’t thrilled about transitioning to a bench role for the Los Angeles Clippers following James Harden’s arrival.

Clippers executive Lawrence Frank had to persuade Westbrook to accept the sixth-man position. With a $4 million player option for next season, Westbrook may explore other opportunities by declining the option.
