Cooper DeJean believes he can beat Caitlin Clark in basketball

NFL Draft prospect Cooper DeJean is confident in his abilities, asserting that he could defeat Caitlin Clark, the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history, in a one-on-one basketball match.

DeJean, a former Iowa defensive back-projected by some as a potential first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, boldly made this claim against his fellow Hawkeye and the top pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

“I wouldn’t say it’s really weird but a lot of teams have asked me if I could beat Caitlin Clark one-on-one, just being from Iowa. I said I think I can,” DeJean, 21, told Yahoo Sports. “She’d probably score a few buckets on me but I think I could pull it off.”
