Kendrick Perkins reveals NBA awards picks

Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins recently shared his selections for various NBA awards, offering insights into his choices for top performers of the season.

Perkins took to X to announce his picks, starting with his 1st Team All-NBA selection, which included Nikola Jokic, Jayson Tatum, Jalen Brunson, Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

For his 2nd Team All-NBA, Perkins chose Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Edwards, LeBron James, and Tyrese Maxey.

In his 3rd Team All-NBA, Perkins included Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, Tyrese Haliburton, and Paolo Banchero.

Rudy Gobert received Perkins’ vote for Defensive Player of the Year. If the French centers earns the award, it would be his fourth.

Curry earned Perkins’ nod for NBA Clutch Player of the Year, acknowledging Curry’s ability to deliver in crucial moments for the Golden State Warriors.

Tyrese Maxey was named Perkins’ pick for Most Improved Player, recognizing the young guard’s development and impact for the Philadelphia 76ers this season.

Perkins also revealed his selections for NBA All-Defensive teams, with Gobert, Victor Wembanyama, Derrick White, Herbert Jones, and Jaden McDaniels making up his 1st Team.

For the 2nd Team All-Defensive, Perkins included Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo, and Brandin Podziemski.

Perkins concluded his awards picks by voting for Tom Thibodeau as NBA Coach of the Year, recognizing his leadership and coaching impact with the New York Knicks.
