Donovan Mitchell: “You’re judged by conference finals and finals”

The Cleveland Cavaliers star guard Donovan Mitchell emphasized that NBA players are often evaluated based on their ability to reach the conference finals and NBA Finals.

He expressed his mindset, stating that while making it to the first and second rounds is commendable, his ultimate goal is to reach the conference finals and ultimately the NBA Finals, as that’s where players are primarily judged.

“You’re judged by conference finals and finals,” Mitchell said. “That’s my mindset. That’s kind of where I’m at and where my head is at. First round, second round is cool.

“I’m taking it one round at a time. But my goal is to make the conference finals and get to the NBA Finals, you know what I mean? That’s what I’m judged on.”
