Russell, James, Davis power Lakers to dominant win over Cavaliers

Led by D’Angelo Russell, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers (45-33) secured a commanding 116-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers (46-32), extending their winning streak to four games.

Russell led the charge with a 28-point outing, while James contributed 24 points and 12 assists, continuing his dominance against his former team. Davis provided a double-double performance with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Taurean Prince added 18 points off the bench.

The Lakers’ victory not only propelled them into eighth place in the Western Conference standings but also bolstered their confidence as they gear up for the postseason.

With only four regular-season games remaining, the Lakers are focused on maintaining their momentum and securing a favorable position in the playoffs.

Despite a strong effort from Cleveland, highlighted by Darius Garland’s 26-point performance, the Lakers controlled the game from start to finish. Caris LeVert contributed 21 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

The Cavaliers stay in third place in the Eastern Conference, despite the loss. However, they now hold just a half-game advantage over the Orlando Magic.
