LeBron James reacts to Rajon Rondo retirement

Following Rajon Rondo’s announcement of his retirement from basketball at 38, LeBron James, his former teammate and NBA champion alongside Rondo, shared his sentiments on the news.

Acknowledging Rondo as one of the best players he ever played with, James highlighted Rondo’s exceptional basketball IQ and the privilege of teaming up with him during their time with the Los Angeles Lakers.

“One of the best players I ever played with,” LeBron said. “Obviously, his IQ is out of this world. I was very lucky to the team I was with him being in L.A. and him coming to the Lakers I was ecstatic about that. I knew what we could accomplish together. ‘Do always talked about if he ever teamed up with me, he knew we could win a championship. And we did that.

“And then just being a fierce competitor throughout my career, when he was in Boston, our battles that we had when he was in Cleveland and going to Miami. I think couple years he maybe led the league in assists or was up there. Just a spectacular player.”
