The Cleveland Cavaliers are solidifying their roster for the remainder of the season by signing veteran forward Marcus Morris.

According to a report by Chris Fedor of cleveland.com, the Cavaliers have decided to retain Morris after the expiration of his 10-day contract.

Morris, 34, has made an immediate impact since joining the Cavaliers, averaging 7.8 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in five games.

By securing Morris for the rest of the season, the Cavaliers are bolstering their depth as they make a push for postseason success.

With only nine regular-season games remaining, Cleveland currently sits in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Cavaliers are just two games behind the second-seeded Milwaukee Bucks, positioning themselves for a strong playoff seed.
