As the Los Angeles Lakers battle for a playoff berth, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas shares an audacious prediction for the team’s postseason journey.

Launching into a critical six-game road trip, the Lakers are determined to secure vital victories in their pursuit of a playoff position amidst the rugged Western Conference competition.

Currently residing in ninth place in the West standings, the Lakers trail the sixth-seeded Sacramento Kings by a mere three games, with only 11 regular-season matchups left to play.

Arenas boldly forecasts a formidable playoff surge for the Lakers, envisioning them clinching the eighth seed and advancing to the Western Conference Finals to face the Denver Nuggets.

Agent Zero predicts that the Lakers will eliminate the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round before defeated the Clippers in the second round.

Reflecting on the Lakers’ previous playoff campaign, where they secured a seventh seed via the play-in tournament, Arenas recalls their journey, culminating in a challenging showdown against the eventual champions, the Denver Nuggets.

Like last year, he thinks the Nuggets would win the series, but unlike last year, it won’t be a sweep.

“I keep telling you, Western Conference Finals, dawg, against Denver,” Arenas said of the Lakers. “How many times I gotta say the same thing? We gon’ be in the eighth seed. We gon’ smack through OKC. Then we gon’ beat on the Flippers, right? If they make it. We gon’ beat on them, and then we probably might take the L to Denver, but we gon’ make that a matchup this year,” Arenas said on Gil’s Arena, via Peter Dewey of Lakers Daily.
