Jaylen Brown’s 33 points lead Celtics to dominant win over Pistons

Jaylen Brown dropped game-high 33 points as the NBA-leading Boston Celtics (56-14) cruised to a 129-102 victory over the short-handed Detroit Pistons (12-58).

Peyton Pritchard contributed 20 points, while Derrick White added 19 points and 11 assists, and Kristaps Porzingis had 19 points to Boston’s commanding win. However, Jayson Tatum missed the game to rest an ankle injury.

Missing key players, including their top five post players, the Pistons couldn’t contain the Celtics’ offensive onslaught.

James Wiseman led Detroit’s efforts with a season-high 24 points, while Jaden Ivey chipped in with 16 points. Cade Cunningham added 15 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

With the victory all but secured, Boston’s coach emptied the bench in the fourth quarter, giving minutes to the team’s reserves.
