Liga Endesa round up 2015-16 (week 4)

Laboral Kutxa inflicted a first league defeat on Gran Canaria as the Vitoria-based side remain unbeaten in the Liga Endesa after week four.

A 77-67 victory at home kept Laboral Kutxa at the top along with Barcelona, who won convincingly 91-67 against winless Gipuzkoa and Valencia, who breezed to a 76-56 win at home to Rio Monbus.

Real Madrid remains in contention in the early stages of the season as they beat Zaragoza 88-80 on the road thanks to 21 points from Mexico international Gustavo Ayon.

The Liga Endesa and Euroleague champions improve to 3-1 in the league.

Perhaps the game of the weekend saw Joventut Badalona see off Manresa 85-84 thanks to veteran Demond Mallet.

The point guard buried an open three in the corner with 19.3 seconds left to ultimately seal the win. Manresa had a chance to win but the Catalan side defended well.

Bilbao secured an 88-70 home success over Unicaja Malaga with Alex Mumbru and Dairus Bertans each collecting 18 points for the victors.

Estudiantes had to survive a near miss as they eventually grabbed a 75-73 win at Tenerife.

A bucket on the buzzer had the home fans cheering but the referees collectively agreed that the ball did not beat the buzzer.

The other two games saw UCAM Murcia get a 90-85 win over Sevilla, as the latter is still yet to register a win this season and Fuenlabrada got a 78-72 win over Andorra.
